Meet the Team
Dewayne Hood grew up just south of Indianapolis and came back to the area for a career opportunity that turned into something much bigger. As General Manager in the Indiana market, he’s found a place where his passion for people, process, and growth all come together. If you run into him, ask about his mountain bike trails — he probably has a recommendation.
Where are you from, and what brought you to Indianapolis?
I was originally born and raised in the Greenwood-Center Grove area, just south of Indianapolis. A career opportunity with Style Crest as a General Manager brought me back, and it’s turned out to be a great move — both personally and professionally. I’ve found a lot of room to grow here, and I’m grateful for it.
How long have you been in the HVAC/Manufactured Home industry?
I’ve been in the industry for over 10 years. During that time I’ve had the chance to work across sales, community management, and facility operations, which has given me a well-rounded view of how things work. There’s always been something new to learn, and I’ve tried to take advantage of every opportunity.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The people — every single time. I love connecting with customers, working alongside my team, and tackling the day-to-day challenges that come with running a busy operation. Solving problems and improving processes is genuinely fulfilling, especially when you can see the impact it has on the people around you. When the team succeeds, our customers succeed — that’s the way I see it.
What is the most important part of your role at Style Crest?
Team development and building strong customer relationships — those are at the core of everything I do. Helping my team grow while making sure we’re operating smoothly and efficiently isn’t just a responsibility, it’s what drives me. Get those two things right and the rest takes care of itself.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
I stay pretty active outside the office — mountain biking, golfing, and bowling are my go-tos. Staying active keeps me balanced and motivated, and I think that carries over into how I show up at work. I’m always focused on continuous improvement, personally and professionally, and I’m excited to be part of Style Crest’s growth here in Indiana.
